Post 5: My future Job

I’m in my second year of design and the truth is that I’m still not sure how a designer works. I don't know if the workplace it’s in an office, a workshop, an agency or another place. I chose to study graphic design because I like the idea of creating and composing. To be honest, I really like the idea of working in a workshop instead of taking theoretical courses. I realized that I'm too good at crafts and that is my passion. However, I’m terrible at drawing, but that wasn’t an obstacle in my decision. Today I dream of working in the field of publishing or advertising. I imagine me designing covers and pages of books and magazines or designing advertising posters. I imagine myself presenting projects and talking to clients. Probably my salary isn’t high because in Chile design is undervalued. Depending on the course of time, I would like to study a postgraduate in design because I really like to study and learn from that. The truth is that my future work scares me a

Post 4: My eternal obsession

What most obsesses me is watching sports. I really like to watch the Olympic Games, the World Athletics Championships, gymnastics, football (especially when Chilean footballers play in the European leagues) and tennis, which is what I have been seen the most in this last weeks. Every night I stay to watch the sports news on television. I also follow many athletes on Instagram and pages that report the latest news from Chilean athletes. I feel that this obsession is because I love to see the improvement, the effort and the passion that athletes have. I have always been captivated the speech of the Chilean athletes. They say that they are proud to represent Chile in any event even though the country doesn’t invest in sports.   Today my big target is go to see the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago de Chile. I have never been in any event like that; in fact I have never gone to a stadium to watch a football game or to a court to watch a tennis game. However, what I most want to do

Post 3: The most embarrassing thing i'm willing to admit

One thing I never liked was going out for the break. I liked to stay in the classroom with my friend and talk. However, the inspectors always forced us out and they locked with key the classroom. But they didn't count with our cunning. The classroom's windows faced the corridor, it were sliding, low height and were usually always open. Once with my friend we decided to try to go through the window.  She pushed me up very strongly.  I remember that on the other side of the wall there was a piece of furniture on which I supported to go down (if that piece of furniture didn't exist, I would have fallen head over heels to the floor). Then I opened the door for my friend could enter. Do you wonder how I opened the door if it was locked? The classroom doors were so bad that you only had to remove the upper and lower latch on the door and push them. We left everything as it was to that the classroom seemed to be closed. After that, we started doing it daily. We always waited f

Post 2: My best concert

A concert that I will never forget is Shakira in 2018. It was at the National Stadium on October 30 th . At that time I was living in Puerto Montt and had to travel to Santiago. I remember it was a Tuesday; I travelled the same day of the concert by plane. My mom had to take me out of school at noon while I was giving a test. To the concert I was accompanied by my cousin Natalia who was waiting for me in Santiago. The concert started at 8 p.m. and we arrived around 5.30 p.m., we were very anxious. It gave me time to study because the next day I had another test. When the concert started, I was very emotional to the point that tears fell from my eyes. I sang all your songs. There were people complained but I found out that it was due to audio problems. I really enjoyed it because was my first concert and my first time in a stadium. I also enjoyed it because she’s my favourite singer, I love her too much and I was looking forward to her arrival in Chile. Shakira had to undergo surg

Post 1: A country that I would like to visit.

I would like to visit Greece, especially Athens, because it’s a very old country. It’s the birthplace of democracy, philosophy and the Olympic Games. I know that its cities are very different from those of Chile because they don’t have tall buildings or large green areas but their cities maintain the essence of Ancient Greece. I have heard that its residents are very philosophical so I would like to talk with the locals to find out if it’s true. The places that I would like to see are the Parthenon, the Acropolis of Athens, the temples of the gods and part of its ruins. It would be great to study or go on an exchange program to that country, but I don't dream of living there. The language is very complex to learn for a person who speaks Spanish besides I hardly know any of English studying many years. I would like to live in a European country because of the best living standards and opportunities that they offer but I think Greece wouldn’t be the appropriate country, especial
